Oaktree Primary School offers a modern, broad, and enriched thematic curriculum that caters to students’ individual needs, and unique learning approaches and fully prepares them for future success in all contexts.
We offer the Early Years Foundation Stage Programme for our 3- to 5-year-olds and the National Curriculum for England for Years One through to Year Six (5-11- year-olds).
Our unique curriculum, however, offers much more. It provides a depth and breadth of learning through its explicit focus on three elements: content, skills, and values. Our integrated approaches promote cross-curricular and conceptual connections to:
1. Engage our students in self-driven learning
2. To act as advocates for what is important
3. To apply their learning to make a positive impact in their world
We believe that quality education is about preparing our students for life. Our approach to learning focuses not only on academic excellence but also on developing skills and character to mold responsible global citizens and confident and capable leaders of the future.
The Oaktree curriculum also integrates the history and culture of the United Arab Emirates, promoting and celebrating diversity and global citizenship, enabling a deep knowledge and appreciation of Emirati culture, heritage, and language.
As a school, we take care to ensure that at the end of Year 6, students transitioning to other schools have the requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes to enable a smooth transition to schools of their choice. Oaktree students also have the option of moving to Grammar School or Al Sadiq Islamic English School which is part of the Athena Education group and offer to pursue their learning from Year 7.
