Key Stage 2

Key Stage 2 at Oaktree Primary School encompasses Years 3 to 6 and continues to build on the foundations that are established in Key Stage 1.  

Keeping in mind the requirement of the National Curriculum for England and the natural developmental needs of our children, there is a natural progression in the level of expectation and challenge for our students in Key Stage 2.  In tune with the school philosophy, we take care to ensure that all activities and programmes are planned and executed with the purpose of providing children with relevant and purposeful curriculum. 

Our lessons continue to be thematic and culminate with projects. In Key Stage 2, the children enjoy higher levels of real-world challenges.  

Ongoing assessments ensure each child makes progress and meet, or exceed curriculum expectations as well as prepare them their next school.
